THE TWELVE
The exciting next generation of artists to watch!
With culture ‘cancelled’ by Covid in 2020, young artists have struggled due to a lack of creative opportunity. POPSART wants to spotlight their work and introduce them to a wider audience.
THE TWELVE is the next exciting generation of artists, innovators and trailblazers to emerge in the city of Brisbane.
For the broader creative sector, we are striving to be in front of the new economy, where digital placemaking will help drive cultural tourism, local businesses, and KEEP OUR ARTISTS WORKING.
POPSART SQUAD
The new POPSART SQUAD, the next generation of arts ambassadors and arts journalists, have been employed to produce the interviews for THE TWELVE.
They have been trained in the POPSART methodology of media-making and in journalism, presentation and production by POPSART director Bec Mac. The POPSART SQUAD also includes First Nations emerging arts ambassador Josh Thiaday.
The Squad are fresh from their mentorship with Bec Mac and their internship with CHRYSALIS PROJECTS producing a series of 12 interviews as part of the digital placemaking and promotion of the project on @Chrysalisprojects social media.
