Meet Dani Gibson: a young, talented ballerina from Mackay. Dani’s journey as a ballerina started much later than most of her peers, but there was little that could stop her from rising through the Queensland Ballet Academy, and eventually to the top of the industry! This interview took place in her lovely studio in Kedron, where you can find her seven days a week, practising and perfecting her artistry. Other than her studio, Dani feels most inspired and fulfilled when she is on stage performing, which she cites as her greatest personal achievement. In 2020, Dani was accepted on a short-term contract at the Paris Opera Ballet Company, where she understudied the Company’s world-class dancers. 

Dani’s raw talent, love for ballet and resilience make her one of our Twelve to Watch. As a performer, Dani possesses incredible technical skills and is able to portray a captivating, graceful story through her dance.
