American soprano Sofia Troncoso, a recent addition to the Brisbane arts community, is an accomplished singer in numerous styles including classical music, bel canto, and contemporary music.

Born in the United States to South American parents, she inherited a passion for music and singing. Sofia’s high school music teacher, who studied opera, pushed Sofia to pursue solo voice, allowing Sofia to develop her own love for Opera. 

Sofia Troncoso is one of our Twelve to Watch for her incredible range; her rich, beautifully controlled soprano voice; her powerful acting abilities; and her captivating stage presence.

One of Sofia’s greatest achievements has been her leading role as Susanna in Opera Queensland’s Marriage of Figaro. Sofia only moved to Brisbane around two years ago and landed this coveted role in no time, now performing at QPAC.
